NSCNC has finally launched the much anticipated 5-axis MIRA Mill.
February 2010
The machine utilizes a dual rotary system that allows it to move wax in multiple directions. Unlike most of 3 and 4 axis machines where in order to create one jobs, a variety of bits and fixtures need to be switched, the Mira Mill uses one fixture and one bit for the whole job.
One of the most exciting features that the machine brings is the ability to hit undercuts for rings. The MIRA Mill uses only one bit for all jobs, so there are no gimmick tools or bits that need to be switched for jobs.
NSCNC also has a unique way of generating tool paths for the 5-axis mill. With time and training, users can actually use existing 4-axis software to generate tool-paths. How this is done is by something called g-code trimming.
And all this comes at an affordable price.
NSCNC: creates the INGI 800 Complete Package for jewelry businesses
February 2010
Vancouver – NSCNC will be offering a complete package to help jewelers get started bringing their designs from a simple images in their head, or on paper, into a form of a flawless wax mold, from start to finish.
The INGI 800 Complete Package, also known as the four-steps of bringing ideas to life, is an educational package that focuses on explaining, and providing the jeweler with the tools necessary to compete in today’s highly competitive, and technological world.
The four-steps will explain and hopefully answer a lot of questions that jewelers may have on this technology. It will also bring light to the process that takes place behind the scenes of the creation of every single piece of wax.
The steps start from creating a piece on 3D design software to transferring the piece to the milling machine, and everything in between. After reading the process, the jeweler
will hopefully have a better understanding of what is needed to be done to create successful works of art.
The package fills the needed requirements with the most ideal software available so that the jeweler is not left scratching his head thinking: what’s next?
